Agile manufacturing for prosthetics
Patients can't wait: War, accidents, and diabetes are leading causes of amputations globally. Today it can take 6-12 months to assess, fit, manufacture and adjust a prosthetic limb. But innovative technology and clinical approaches can drop that to days or weeks. We are piloting microfactories that can change lives and get patients back on their feet - sometimes literally.
IndHealth health & healing platform
Culture and history matter in health outcomes: Canada is on a reconciliation journey with Indigenous peoples and nations. We're exploring ways to weave together Traditional Healing and Western Medicine to create an Indigenous-led health system that responds to the holistic needs of communities.
Edmonton food commons
We also work at home: Edmontonians face rising living costs, economic instability and systemic inequities that have left many families unable to meet basic needs. The twin crises of homelessness and food insecurity require an integrated approach across sectors, focusing on root causes.
