ICChange Executive Jessica Hogan in HEROES Magazine

May 14, 2015

It’s National Nursing Week in Canada from May 11 to 17th and there’s no better time for us to acknowledge the tremendous positive impact that nurses and other frontline care workers have around the world. ICChange is lucky to have several team members and CHANGEmakers with backgrounds in nursing working on solving big problems and improving patients’ outcomes in the communities we work in.

One of these nurses is our very own Jessica Hogan. Jess has been an integral part of the ICChange team for many years, working on the CeraMaji and Kenya Trauma and Injury initiatives. Her interest is in analyzing the positive impact that transport medicine can have on a health system. If you’re interested in seeing the reach of an idea like this, check out Jess on page 13 of this month’s HEROES Magazine and read on to pages 14 and 15 to see a great graphic demonstrating how transport medicine enables the Stollery Children’s Hospital to serve children across all of Western Canada.
