ICChange Presents at Falling Walls Lab

November 5, 2014

The Falling Walls Lab is a global network of innovators, researchers, and universities that convene annually to commemorate the falling of the Berlin Wall by looking for the best new ideas to knock down walls in other communities. This year was the first that the Lab was hosted at the University of Alberta and ICChange’s CeraMaji and Kibera Medical Record Initiative (KMRI) ideas were both selected for presentation.

If you didn’t get a chance to see it live, you can watch Abdullah present on Breaking Down the Wall of Health Access in Urban Slums right now!

ICChange partnership with Global Innovations for Reproductive Health and Life (GIRHL)

October 27, 2014

The ICChange team is proud to announce a new partnership with fellow Grand Challenges Canada Stars in Global Health Award Grantee, Global Innovations for Reproductive Health and Life (GIRHL). GIRHL has recently developed a new innovative technology geared at decreasing stillbirth and low birth weight neonates in the developing world. GIRHL will be conducting a feasibility study in Accra, Ghana over the course of the next 18 months to assess the acceptability and compliance of the technology in this setting. The innovation has the potential to impact millions worldwide by decreasing preventable antenatal mortality.

ICChange will be involved in administering the group’s GCC grant for the feasibility study and provide technical support and consultancy to help make dissemination of this technology a reality.
